22 Thoughts to “Arctic Air Mass To Shatter U.S. Early-Season Cold Records; Earth-Directed X-Flare To Deliver Double Hit; + BBC To Review Its Own Climate Lies”
I’m watching this Mamdani election result. He gets elected & does everything in his power to seem threatening. Then he flys off to Puerto Rico with his fat cat friends.
This is a ruse to allow wealthy New Yorkers a way evacuate the North without raising suspicions about the approaching Grand Solar Minimum & the Mini Ice Age that may follow. They are all willing to leave at the drop of a hat but they put up no noticeable resistance to Mamdani being elected in the first place. All of them going to Florida? Why not California or Kentucky or a close by neighboring state.
This sounds a lot like frontier stealth, when you wrap the wagon wheels in blankets and quietly
leave in the middle of the night.
All contrived.
We’re getting two days of normal (ie: cold) weather, then back to abnormally warm, supposed to be 70F on Saturday. I think it’s great, but it’s still the warmest fall I can remember. Are we living on the same planet?
Deb, you are lucky if you have been warm. I just spent three months in the NE and it was cold especially over night. Missouri is lucky
but your luck will probably run out before winter starts. The autumn 🍂 colors were amazing.
The trees here got very confused this year. We had a terrible drought in August/September and many of the trees turned from green to brown and looked dead. Then it started raining a lot but stayed warm, and the trees turned back to green. Eventually they started turning colors, but much later than usual. It’s been raining off and on and the colors were quite good. I’ve always heard that the colors depend on the rain, and now I believe it. But Missouri right now looks and feels like early October. Hard to believe we’re almost halfway through November.
I checked it out. When I say evergreen, I mean conifers, which flourish in colder climes, like mountains. When you say evergreen, you mean trees that don’t bother to drop their leaves because the winters in NZ are mild. Different trees.
New Zealand is home to 18 native conifer species classified into four families:
Podocarpaceae (podocarp family): 15 native species.
Araucariaceae (araucarian family): 1 native species, the kauri (Agathis australis).
Phyllocladaceae (celery pine family): 3 native species.
Cupressaceae (cypress family): 2 native species.

These conifers are unique to New Zealand and play a significant role in the country’s biodiversity
I fell in love with NZ (like a billion other people) from watching LOTR , but this is the first I’ve heard of no fall color. That puts some tarnish on my beautiful dream.
Sometimes life seems like one disappointment after another. If you’re unrealistic in your expectations, that is. Oh well, another one bites the dust. I wasn’t going to be getting on any more airplanes, anyway. Not after the rocky road I experienced the last time. 😱🛩️🍷🍷🍷
There’s some truth in that, lol. Artists of all types put something of themselves into their products.
There’s also the issue of having something with your name on it altered, thus marring your reputation to some degree. I learned a long time ago to retain creative control over my work, no matter how trivial it may seem.
My visual communication made much more sense with the airplane pointing down, since there were no airplanes hitting air pockets for me to choose from.
Fall has been delightfully warm all season here in the central highlands of Arizona. Love it. Was so cold last year. But the warmth ends Friday with a return to “normal” highs and lows. Plants have been growing and blooming like it’s Spring, but the trees have changed color and dropped their leaves. This fall has been an anomaly, really, last five years just really cold. Grateful for the change.
Very well put.
On the climate, CNN Broadcaster, was asked by the late great John Coleman, who started off the Weather Channel, “When will we see charge in the climate ”
His reply”When it starts to get colder”.
CNN couldn’t except the fact that ‘misinformation ‘ in their ideology of promoting AGW was happening.
John Coleman called it out.
On the BBC,the ex MEP Daniel Hannon, told The Telegraph newspaper that the BBC was paid £300k in 2015 to ,allegedly, ‘promote’ anti Brexit information.
The network has ‘baggage ‘ before this week’s exposure.
The MSM will,I am afraid, be the last organisation to stop the ‘climate propaganda ‘ as the people who own it want the ideology for their own agenda.
Most people in the UK won’t stop paying the licence fee because they’d be breaking the law if they then watched any live TV or anything on iPlayer. I’m guessing that the majority of people who, like myself, know there’s no chance of being caught and are fed up with funding propaganda have already stopped paying the licence fee so the rebellion won’t continue to gain much momentum.
Trump has now threatened to sue the BBC for $1,000,000,000 over a program that edited together different parts on the speech he gave on Jan 6 2021 to make it look like he was encouraging the Capitol riots. I can’t see him getting a pay out anywhere near big enough to bankrupt the BBC but we can live in hope.
The last time the US saw this kind of early season cold was Nov 13, 1977. What followed was the historic winter of 1977-1978I remember being in the Geurd back than and doing Blizzard Duty. 15-20 foot snow drifys and the only vehicles moving were the Military and guys with big 4 wheelers. We paid their gas and they hekped get people to work…Hostpital Drs and Nurses and others, We ALL kept Jefferson Countyu…Louisville KY running. Damn it was COLD…-65 wind chill. My JEEP froze up so we brought it inside and thawed it out. I truly believe it will be that this tear again…everythingis lining up for that.
Enjoy Deb and YALL have a Nice Day.
“Roughly a million UK households have stopped paying the BBC licence fee in the past two years alone — a mass rebellion that is gaining momentum.”
WHAT! Is it everyone? Everyone must pay a fee for a biased news service? And, as these things go, said bias seeps into every other product the BBC produces.
Pay the BBC – on top of having to pay a fee to have a TV in the first place.

I always thought day length was a trigger for fall color, but it looks like temperature and precipitation are the deciding factors.
Deblingtonhead!
All our native trees here in Kiwiland are evergreen, not deciduous.
So we do not have ‘fall’, we have autumn.
OK then.
How strange! I wonder why that is? Do you have any deciduous herbs or shrubs?
I checked it out. When I say evergreen, I mean conifers, which flourish in colder climes, like mountains. When you say evergreen, you mean trees that don’t bother to drop their leaves because the winters in NZ are mild. Different trees.
Do you say potayto or potahto?
Potaytoe. Nuffin. Only fruit trees and exotics drop their leaves in NZ. Bland autumnal colours.

That airplane was pointing down when I chose it. I don’t appreciate my artistic control being overriden!
Yes. I despise an editor if they mess with my letter to the editor or article without my approval.
Do not molest my baby,

Maybe the fact that he “called it out” is the reason he’s the “late great”.

I took a screenshot of your comment. I’m sure you’ll want a reminder when your prophecy comes true. 🙄

I threw my TV out 20+ years ago. Problem solved. Why do you need TV when you have YouTube anyway?
